I am delighted to announce that Singclusion Inc has been successful in its application for a grant from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund for $15,579
This money will go towards buying electronic keyboards to put into the libraries for use at practices and performance sessions; a special video recorder for high quality audio recording; promotional banners to display at concerts, and brightly coloured sashes to wear over black outfits to help create a more consistent mix of colours to highlight unity through diversity.
Special thanks to Sharyn Casey from Real Options Consultancy Service for her assistance in putting together the grant application and to Logan City Council for paying her fee!
And thanks to our loyal supporters, management and staff at Logan City Council Libraries, Pam Parker (Logan Mayor) and Evan Moorhead (State Member for Waterford).
This brings us one step closer to the dream, no, vision (it will happen!) of creating new pods of Mixed Beans in other libraries to use singing as a vehicle for social inclusion.
What a great Christmas present!
