Just about to publish our sixth kits for educators working in communities with children in the age ranges 1-3 year and 3-5 years. Whoo-hoo, only two more kits to finish and we’ll have a year-long program ready for use by anyone who is game enough to lead community singing. Already in use at Coober Pedy opal-mining community, Port Augusta Children’s Centre and kindergartens in Pietersburg in South Africa as well as Adelaide-based schools and children’s services. Hard work but extrememy rewarding.

Welcomed my returning parents back to our Brompton venue for ”Bounce and Sing” for 1-3 yr-olds and ”Sing and Play” for 3-5 yr-olds and also had some new families trying our program. Thanks to the lovely staff at Bowden-Brompton Community Centre for a warm welcome to Term 3. If anyone in Adelaide ever needs a great venue for a workshop, launch or conference this is a beautiful centre with easy parking close to the city.

Spent the morning working with my colleague Mish doing a not too scary Pirate Show at Kidman Park Community Child Care Centre. We sang a few well-known fish songs, my own Dolphin Rap (yes, I know how sad that sounds but I can’t help myself), some wonderful kid-friendly sea chanteys, and thank-you to the child who laughed when we danced around in a circles as the ship went down, and to the other tacker who said he liked the ’parrots’- I think he meant pirates. The staff looked happy enough and the kids were just great.

Hi, I am a Primary School Specialist Music Teacher who is on family leave.
Whilst on family leave I have decided to start my own playgroup with a musical theme. I call the informal group ”Lullabies & Laughs” and we meet in my home once a month. I have a two and a half year old daughter and a 9 month old daughter so it is a great way of using my skills and sharing the experience with my girls.
Recently I took the girls to Geelong where we did an introduction to AUSLAN called Baby Hands. This course will be invaluable for my work at Colac Specialist School. Highly recommend Baby Hands!
