Australia Council Grants: Community Partnerships

The major closing date for Community Partnerships grants from the Australia Council is Friday 24 May, 2013. In this round, the following grants are available:

Program

These grants provide one-year funding for community arts and cultural development organisations that have a track record of delivering innovative projects with arts and non-arts partners. Organisations which have made contact with a Community Partnerships team member and have been invited are eligible to apply.

Amount: $50,000 to $120,000

Projects

These grants provide funding for individuals, groups and organisations to develop and implement community arts and cultural development projects with a range of partners. These projects may or may not have a public outcome. Consideration of an evaluation strategy is recommended.

Projects With Public Outcomes

These grants provide funding for community arts and cultural development projects that have strong public presentation outcomes and involve both arts and non-arts partners. Individuals, groups and organisations are welcome to apply provided they have sought financial support and/or co-funding from other sources.

Amount: $20,000 to $35,000

Creative Producer

These grants provide funding over a sustained period for individual practitioners to undertake community arts and cultural development projects by developing partnerships and working with communities to create and present work.

Amount: $80,000

Career Pathways - Fellowship

This new grant provides individual community arts and cultural development (CACD) artists/practitioners with financial support to undertake a two-year program of creative or professional development that advances their practice and develops their career as CACD artists/practitioners. CACD artists/practitioners must have a record of outstanding achievement and demonstrate at least 10 years of professional experience.

Amount: $100,000 over two years

Career Pathways - Professional Development

These grants provide funding for individual artists and arts workers to build their professional capacity as community arts and cultural development workers.

Amount: Up to $12,000

Career Pathways - Structured Mentorships

These new grants support tailored mentorship arrangements that build the skills and capacities of practitioners at different stages of their career in identified areas that contribute to the sustainability and quality of community arts and cultural development practice. To become eligible to apply to this category, applicants must first discuss their proposal with a member of the Community Partnerships team and be invited to apply

Amount: $10,000 to $30,000
