National Cultural Policy Announced

Almost two decades since the last policy of its kind was announced, and after several years of consideration, the "Creative Australia" policy, aka National Cultural Policy, aka #NCPaus on Twitter, is released today. 

2013 Yamaha National Band Championships

For the first time since 1979, bands from across the country will cross the Nullabor to participate in the National Band Championships in Western Australia. This major national event moves cities each year and the Western Australian Band Association (WABA) is hosting it this year.

The Nationals will be based at the University of WA, Crawley Campus, just 5 minutes from the Perth CBD. The Parade of Bands event will be held on Saturday morning (30 March) in Russell Square, in the heart of the Northbridge Piazza area surrounded by alfresco coffee shops & bars.

Dates: 29 March to 1st April 2013

The Arts and Health Foundation and Creative Partnerships Australia (formerly AbAF) will again partner in 2013 to recognise and honour best practice arts and health partnerships across Australia through the awarding of the Arts and Health Award as part of the Creative Partnerships Australia Awards (formerly AbaF Awards).
